Our latest skit was an attempt to highlight the key points from this paper about teams (apologies, we couldn't embed this one). Here's the video below. And not to worry, it's posted privately! We'll be sure to get us all on camera next time.
In the 2 lego exercises, we wanted to show the difference between working groups and teams, but didn't include enough material about entrepreneurial teams. Here are some attributes of entrepreneurial teams that set them apart from teams within an organisation.
- entrepreneurial teams create their own purpose vs relying on a manager to set their purpose
- they are able to manage risk within the team and consider affordable loss
- they seek out or create their own opportunities
- they build their teams with the idea of the patchwork quilt theory - selecting key partners and reducing uncertainty
